My name is Nell Tercek, and I am a knitwear apparel designer with a passion for creating sustainable, conceptual fashion.

I studied design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and in Milan, Italy where I specialized in knitwear design. I have experience in sewing, draping, fashion illustration, graphic design, and digital media design. I enjoy up-cycling second hand garments and found materials, machine and hand knitting, and crocheting.

I believe that art and design are the greatest forms of self expression. I feel that I can be my authentic self and communicate my identity to the world through my designs. I want to create a tangible piece of art for others to wear confidently while expressing their own unique identities.

 I strive to design conceptual garments that push boundaries and make people think, while conveying the message that everyone is unique and beautiful no matter the shape, size, gender, sexuality, race, and age. 

My goal as a designer is to challenge beauty ideals and transform knitwear norms - expand the perception of knitwear design. I want to create knitwear that no one has ever seen or thought of before.
